USPHL Premier 2024-25 Canada All-Division Team

 

Forward: Derek Petitpas, College Universel Gatineau

Petitpas (‘06/Gatineau, Que.) scored 29 goals and added 24 assists for 53 points in 42 games this season, one of three College Universel Gatineau players to hit the 53-point mark. Petitpas led his team in goal-scoring with 29, as well as in power play goals with seven and he scored two shootout goals on the season, as well. 

 

Forward: Tristan Reid, Somang L-L Hockey 

Reid was a force throughout the season for the first-year Somang squad, leading his team with 22 goals and adding 27 assists for 49 points to tie for the team lead in scoring. His average of 1.29 points per game also led Somang. 

 

Forward: Victor Proulx, Universel Sherbrooke

Proulx (‘06/Quebec City, Que.) was the leading scorer for the whole Canada Division, with 32 goals and 29 assists for 61 points in 42 games, giving him a 1.45 points per game average. Proulx also scored four game-winning goals on the season. He was a member of the Pacific/Northwest/Canada All-Star team at the USPHL All-Star event in January, where he scored a goal. 

 

Defense: Chris Skotidakis, Somang L-L Hockey 

Skotidakis (‘05/Laval, Que.) was a terrific two-way presence on the blue line for Somang, leading the Somang defense in scoring with a 3-23-26 line and he also helped with five power play assists. His 26 points ranked fourth among Canada Division defensemen. 

 

Defense: William Cotton, Hawkesbury Knights 

Cotton (‘07/Marieville, Que.) led all Canada Division defensemen in scoring with a 10-20-30 line in 42 games, and he was also named to the Pacific/Northwest/Canada All-Star team for the two games of the USPHL Premier All-Star event. 

 

Goaltender: Nathan Rutter-Richardson, Montreal Black Vees

Rutter-Richardson (‘06/Rockland, Ont.) was far and away the Canada Division wins leader, putting up a 19-4-1-1 record. He had a 3.15 goals against average and a .905 save percentage on the season, turning away 765 of 845 shots. 

Selection Process: Coaches in the division first nominate players, and then vote on these nominations. If there are ties in positions, there is an additional run-off vote. Coaches are presented with the finalists and given more than 24 hours to make changes if the majority votes to do so. If there are no challenges to the finalists, they are named as the All-Division Team.
